should have called this post 22 spot

Final Weight: 151 pounds

Well I am wondering if I should have been more ambitious. I lost 22 total pounds from my weigh in day. I haven't weighed this little since my knee surgery 4 years ago. I am planning on changing my diet so I can keep this weight off and maybe increase my weight a little, while dropping my body fat a bit more.

I didn't win the weight contest, but came in 3rd place. I paid less than $1 per pound that I lost so my investment was exellent.

strange month

Weight: 153.7
Yesterday Cardio: 1000 Calories
Yesterday Food: 1450 Calories

well I can tell you that it has been a strange month. I noticed that I am about the same weight that I was a month ago. I have three weeks left in the contest and I need to drop 7 pounds or I am probably going to lose. I am still in 1st place if the standings are accurate, but it is very very close and the longer I go without losing weight the worse my chances are.

So it feels good to be back at the gym. I am starting to get my endurance back and actually did 1.5 hours of cardio last night. I am hoping I can do a 3 mile run tonight since I won't be able to make it to the gym. My sister, mother, niece and nephew will be here this week, so it will be interesting to see how much that affects my diet.

The contest is back on

I haven't been dieting or exercising for the past two and a half weeks, but I am ready to go. I went to the gym for an hour last night and that was very exhausting. I'm going to try and go the rest of the week and weekend and get back into the 1.5 to 2 hour workouts. My weight was 152.8 this morning so I am slightly behind schedule, but still should be able to hit 145 by the middle of March. I would need to essentially lose 8 more pounds, which would put me at a pace of 2 pounds per week, which includes this week. I'm not sure if i will be able to get there, but if I throw in some slight dehydration/laxatives for the final weigh in, I may be able to cheat a few more pounds.

sinus infection

well what I thought was a cold is probably the flu and while I was starting to get better, it looks like it has turned into a sinus infection. The main symptom beside the florescent yellow snot in my nose? Well that is extreme fatigue. I am so tired right now I can barely keep my eyes open and this was after I got 10 hours of sleep last night. I am hoping to get my recovery going soon because I am miserable. I can pretty much kiss this contest good-bye.

cold tub

temperature: 101

well I haven't hit the gym all work as I have the worst cold I have ever had in my life. My temperature hit 101 last night and nothing would bring it down, so I filled up the tub with cold water and had to sit in there for about half an hour to get it down to 100. It dropped down to 98 within an hour after that and has been stable since. I weigh in the 153 range and I am hoping I feel good enough for the gym this weekend, but I am not keeping my fingers crossed. Most likely I will be at the gym starting next week.

super belly

Weight: 155.7
Yesterday Cardio: 0 Calories
Yesterday Food: ??? Calories

So I am sick the last two days and don't really feel like counting calories. I didn't eat much yesterday but pigged out when I didn't hit the gym last night. I ate dinner around 5:30 and then again ate at 7:30 when Jen came home. I bet I ate an extra 400 calories by skipping the gym. I'm not sure I am going to hit the gym tonight because I don't like going when I am skip since I am usually quite week. My goal for the end of the week is 153 pounds so I am going to have to work really hard to get to that goal. I actually weighted 154.4 pounds when I got home from work yesterday, but was around 157 after all the food that I ate.

As for the superbowl, I had my nachos and they where excellent, but my stomach has shrunk so much, I really couldn't eat much food. It was very strange to feel that full from such a small plate. It took a long time and some hard work, but my stomach is exactly the size that I have wanted, so that is good, now I just need to keep it up in the future, which means I can eat whatever I want, it just has to be a small portion.

So I am not sure I am in the lead. I found out that some other person has lost 10% which is exactly where I am at in the contest. It is going to be a battle until the end, but this other person has much more weight than myself to lose, so by not being fat enough to start with I may lose the contest, but if I get down to 8% body fat I will consider that a win. It is strange, but for the first time in a long time, I am no longer considered overweight. It is pretty funny that they use just the BMI, but I have been 25 or 26 for a long time and now I have a BMI of 24. It is kinda funny because I am about 5 pounds away from having a six pack. So -5 pound of current weight = 6 pack, +3 pounds = overweight.

sliding

Weight: 155.9
Yesterday Cardio: 1000 Calories
Yesterday Food: 1190 Calories

last night was very strange. I went to the gym and worked out for a long time, and did good on my diet, but yet I gained a half pound. My guess is that I may have been slightly dehydrated earlier in the week which is why my weight was so low, but it is very discouraging to do everything right and still gain weight.

I am having a bad eating day. I went to bed last night extremely hungry and wanted to wake up and make an egg sandwich. Well it was a huge letdown. It wasn't very good and definitely did not hit the spot. I am already 1000 in on the day, so most likely my dinner is going to have to be very small to stick to around 1300 calories.
